Children

On Valentine's Day 2010, children's church participants had a very special treat.  In addition to the children who attended, there were also a couple of adults.  Karen Vause Green, a local christian children's author, came and shared a puppet show and read her new book.  "Sweet Sister, Don't Be Afraid" is a comforting book for children of all ages.  Th book shares a story of two sisters who teach us how to overcome bedtime fears.  Our church library has a copy of this book if you would like to check it out.  You may also want to visit Karen's website www.karenvausegreen.com . 

The children's activity for February was a trip to Oak Mountain Lanes Bowling Center in Pelham. There were nineteen children and nine adults who boarded the bus and van for an afternoon of fun! The children enjoyed bowling, playing games, and eating nachos from the snack bar! We encourage you all to check the calendar and join us for our monthly children's activities at Odena Baptist Church. We hope to see you there!
